The Department of Veterans Affairs Community Based Outpatient Clinic in Painesville will be hosting the "2nd Annual Veterans Appreciation Day" outreach on Friday, September 18, 2009. The outreach will run from 11:00am-6:00pm at the American Legion Post 336 located at 60 Chester Street in Painesville (Please see attached map for directions).

This event will be both informational as well as enjoyable. We will be offering benefits and eligibility assistance as well as free Preventative Healthcare Screening for veterans who have served in the Armed Forces. Last year this outreach was a success. Many new veterans were enrolled and are now receiving VA healthcare. We are hoping to outreach to many more veterans this year to inform them of their medical benefits and many other benefits that are available to them.

We will be providing a picnic style luncheon that will consist of hamburgers, hot dogs, chips, pretzels, pop, coffee, water, and cake for all who attend. We have invited some very special guests to join us for this event. Some of these guests will include: Congressman LaTourette, various city officials, VA Directors, local American Legion's and VFW posts, and most importantly, our Veterans, who we serve here at the clinic.

We look forward to serving those who have served us. We hope to see you there. Please contact me, Tammy Stennis, at (440) 357-6740 x1455 if you have any questions.
