VFW Post 7754 South End Property Rules & Renter Agreement

  1. Rent is $100.00 per day.
  2. Rent must be paid to reserve your date on the calendar.
  3. Rent is non-refundable unless VFW is notified in writing 30 days prior to the cancelled event.
  4. Security deposit of $200.00 is payable no less than 7 days prior to event; if not paid 7 or more days prior to the event, the event is deemed cancelled and any payments made are forfeited to VFW.
  5. Violation of any VFW rule, at VFW's discretion, will result in forfeiture of the event date, rent payment and security payment made.
  6. Security deposits will be made [returned] at the sole discretion of the VFW no less than 3 days after the event and hopefully within 21 days after the event.
  7. The property shall be rented only by VFW 7754 members for family type functions.
  8. Members may rent the property for parents, grandparents, children and grandchildren only if the member will be in attendance at the function for the duration of the event.
  9. Entering, protecting and securing the property are the responsibility of the renter and guests - keys are available for SALE at the Canteen - we don't "loan" keys.
  10. The property will not be rented for personal or professional gain - IRS qualified 501(c) not for profit organizations may apply, in writing, and only if a copy of the group exemption form is provided at the same time evidencing 501(c) status, and with the understanding all rents and deposits are quadrupled, if approved, and may still NOT sell tickets or any items period, on the premises or to gain entry to the premises.
  11. No ticket fee may be charged or entry fee of any sort collected from anybody, before or during the event.
  12. Parking fees may not be charged for any VFW property.
  13. No sales of food or beverage will be permitted.
  14. No alcoholic beverages will be sold, AND NO ALCOHOL WILL BE CONSUMED BY MINORS AT ANY TIME.
  15. No weapons of any sort are allowed on the property.
  16. The property will not be rented during the week of the VFW picnic.
  17. All trash shall be placed in the Scheiber's Hauling dumpsters - including all trash in trash cans, barrels or any other receptacles - bring trash bags for your ease. If no dumpster is present or is full, trash must be removed from the property that night.
  18. Access will be permitted to the boat ramp AT ALL TIMES!
  19. Park only in the designated areas - South and West of the parking ties marking the parking area.
  20. The rent and security deposit should be paid by separate checks.
  21. No overnight camping is permitted.
  22. Music and noise WILL be kept below a level that will disturb any surrounding neighbor.
  23. All music and loud noise will cease at midnight.
  24. All picnic benches and tables must be returned to the inside of the pavilion.
  25. Pavilion shall be swept prior to leaving - if no broom can be found, bring one.
  26. Fires are permitted in designated pits only, if authorized by law and the fire department.
  27. The Fairport Harbor Police and Fire Departments are authorized access to the SEP at any time.
  28. Any and all orders of the Fire Department concerning fires or hazards shall be obeyed without question.
  29. Any and all orders, instructions and/or demands of the Fairport Harbor Police Department shall be obeyed immediately and without hesitation at all times.
  30. The police have the authority, if they deem it necessary to restore order, to close the property.
  31. Property is rented "as is" - if we can, we will ensure it is clean and grass is cut, if not, you will need to take [care] of that; however, property must still be clean at your departure, no exceptions, or your security deposit will not be returned.
